Triple H Has All The Feels!
Our top story today concerns reports that even more ex-WWE stars are returning to the company, but first – it’s time to play The Game…of emotions.
WWE’s developmental promotion NXT is very much Triple H’s baby, which he’s overseen since its inception. As a result, he’s very invested in the success of the NXT wrestlers who are called up to the main roster.
This week’s first brand split episode of Monday Night Raw not only saw the debuting former NXT champion Finn Balor immediately position himself as one of the company’s top stars, it also saw former NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks win the WWE Women’s Championship from Charlotte in what I thought was the best moment of an already very good show.
This led Raw’s General Manager Mick Foley to tweet Triple H about looking after the female NXT wrestlers:
Which was accompanied with this behind-the-scenes look at how much Banks’ title win meant to The Game. Prepare for the feels: Triple H looks like he’s crying.
I shouldn’t prepared that lasagne before I started writing *sniff* LEAVE ME ALONE, I’VE BEEN CHOPPING ONIONS.
