Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege fans will be getting a third DLC titled Operation Skull Rain tomorrow, August 2nd. To celebrate this imminent availability, Ubisoft have released a launch trailer showcasing the new map, equipment and operatives.
Operation Skull Rain includes the new map called Favela, a location in the poorer districts of Brazil. Expect streets to be narrow, maze like alleyways and plenty of ambushing opportunities. This new update also includes two new BOPE operatives; these are Capitão who is equipped with a tactical crossbow which can fire lethal asphyxiating bolts and micro grenades and Caveira, who has the ability to use a stealth skill called ‘Silent Step’ to creep up on her enemies. Both new operatives will be available to season pass holders as of tomorrow whereas non season pass holders can purchase these characters with Renown or R6 credits from 9th August.
Also included in this update is a new angled grip attachment which speeds up the transition from ADS to hip shooting. There is also the addition of the Tactical Realism mode which encourages team members to communicate more by changing the HUD to remove many details that would otherwise make your on-screen task more easy. There is also a new Surrender system which allows teams to cut short a match and move on to another. This accelerates the gaming by allowing teams to forfeit a match prior to the 3rd round if they feel they are heavily outmatched.
