The latest DLC for Total War: Warhammer, the Grim and the Grave, will be released 1st September and alongside that there will also be the release of the latest update (also known as Free-LC) which introduces bug fixes, re-balancing, 5 new maps to play on in custom/multiplayer battles, a Free-LC related quest line and the most powerful and reviled of all vampire counts, Vlad Von Carstein. With the release of the Free-LC imminent, Creative Assembly have released a video that goes into detail of what Vlad can offer and gives a glimpse of battle on one of the new maps.
Vlad is a very effective character in combat and comes with the Siege Attacker attribute which allows all units in his army to come with vanguard deployment which means all units can deploy outside of normal deployment zones if you wish. However, this is only available in Vlad’s campaign and is not enabled in custom/multiplayer games.
The 5 new maps accessible in multiplayer and custom games are: The Devastation of Ostermark, The Excavation Site, Altdorf Outskirts, The Void of Hellfenn and the Warpstone Mine which is a Vlad specific quest map.
