Did you know Cesaro is fluent in English, German, Italian, French and Swiss? Yes, you probably did, because Michael Cole used to remind us every time he came out, but Cesaro has since added another language to his repertoire: thinly veiled Twitter bitch.
When WWE first implemented the Brand Split, Cesaro was really excited about going to Smackdown – the wrestling show, as he put it. So excited, he brought it up in a few interviews heading into the draft. So, like any company run by a group of power-mad sadists, they put him on Raw.
Cesaro has been subtly hinting he’s unhappy with how he’s being booked on Monday nights ever since, replying to Daniel Bryan’s tweet: “Dear @WWECesaro, when does your Raw contract end? We’d love to have you on #SmackdownLive :)”
With “@WWEDanielBryan I’ll look into it”
And just last week cryptically tweeting: “I’m tired of it.”
To which a still eager Bryan replied: “Coming over to #SmackdownLive might make you less tired”
Now Cesaro appears to be straight up shooting on WWE, after he was left off WWE’s promotional poster advertising their shows in Switzerland in May. You know, the place Cesaro was born. His reluctant tag team partner Sheamus made it on. The awfully booked Gallows and Anderson are there. In a weird Photoshopping error, Xavier Woods got an extra face coming out of his own arm. But still…no Cesaro. Which he tweeted about:
“When you can’t even make it onto the poster for the show in your home country…#2swiss #2tearsinabucket”
And, as we’ve seen, wherever you find a disgruntled Cesaro post, a poaching Bryan one won’t be far behind: “If you were on #TeamBlue you’d be on every poster… just saying #BlueIsBetter”
While New Japan’s Kenny Omega teased Cesaro joining the Bullet Club…
“What’s your shirt size, bro?”
Sin Cara found himself in exactly the same situation, where a WWE poster advertising the promotion’s tour of Mexico had exactly zero masked luchadors with anger problems on, tweeting:
“When I could not even be on the show poster in my country ….”
Thank you, Google Translate.
Although Sin Cara did punch Chris Jericho in the face backstage on the company’s recent trips around Europe, so I can understand why WWE would be a bit apprehensive putting him on a tour bus again.
The least reliable upset WWE star story, however, is about the company’s golden boy John Cena. While Cesaro and Sin Cara’s grievances comes directly from their Twitter accounts, reports that Cena is unhappy with WWE comes from AllWrestlingNews, who don’t appear to have any definitive sources. So get your pinch of salt ready.
They report there is a rumour going around that Cena is upset with WWE because Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are being paid big money for a very limited schedule, and he thinks Vince McMahon should treat him in the same way.
Cena is WWE’s biggest overall earner, because kids inexplicably like horribly coloured t-shirts and wristbands, but Goldberg and Lesnar are most probably paid more per appearance.
What do you think about Cena, Cesaro and Sin Cara being upset with WWE? Tell me how Cesaro is getting jobbed out on Raw for all of 2017 in the comments below.
