Over on the ZX Vega+ Indiegogo page it has just been announced that due to a “necessary revision” for one of the buttons on the upcoming Sinclair handheld gaming unit the device has been delayed slightly. Though this will disappoint a number of backers who are pacing the floor waiting for their shiny new ZX Vega+, Retro Computers Ltd (RCL) believed this improvement was needed to make the device more robust.
“This change has caused a brief delay while we improved the product and we have now completed the necessary revisions,” reads the announcement. These new buttons however now seem to have been designed and created as RCL also point out that: “We have also produced the first batch of custom made modified buttons and will be spending the next few days manufacturing units, using the already completed electronics and the newly modified buttons.”
The ZX Vega+ was recently shown off at the WIRED2016 event in London, where RCL highlighted the Next Generation of gamers monopolised most of the time with the unit.
As yet no release date has been given and to read the full statement visit the ZX Vega+ Indiegogo campaign page here.
