Nia Jax doesn’t just squash the women’s division on Monday Night Raw. She also does it on Twitter.
After last night’s announcement that Sasha Banks would take on Charlotte yet again for the Women’s Championship – this time in an Iron Person match at Roadblock: End of the Line – Nia tweeted a picture of Bill Murray saying, “Well it’s Groundhog Day…again.”
Jax uses her Twitter account for a mixture of kayfabe, trash talking NXT Women’s Champion Asuka, and real life stuff, like congratulating Blissy Face on her TLC win – so it’s hard to tell if the Groundhog Day tweet is an actual shoot or worked shoot. But she isn’t the only member of the roster to express frustration about how Raw is built just around two women. Both Summer Rae and Emma tweeted Mick Foley last week to just let their feud end.
Speaking of Emmalina, after months of teasing her return with pictures from my Internet search history – I mean Emma’s Instagram account – WWE have announced that she’ll finally be redebuting on next week’s episode of Raw – the go-home show for Roadblock: End of the Line.
In other news, seemingly in response to Sasha Banks and Charlotte’s Iron Person match being announced, Nia Jax tweeted a picture of Bill Murray saying, “Well it’s Groundhog Day…again.”
Both Emmalina and Nia might have to fight for their spot against another addition to the main roster, though. Pro Wrestling Sheet are reporting that Mickie James has recently been offered a main roster contract.
This comes after James returned to the company, losing a one-off match against Asuka at NXT TakeOver: Toronto last month. Triple H has since said that a longer return is “up to Mickie James.” There’s no word yet on whether she’s going to Raw or Smackdown.

Coming out of Smackdown’s Unpretty pay-per-view on Sunday night, there were fan reports that both AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose were injured following their cracking main event – with AJ apparently pointing to his right foot while trying to “flex it” as soon as the show ended, and Ambrose “rushed” to the back by another trainer.
The Wrestling Observer have since reported that Styles suffered a “minor ankle injury”, and PWInsider said that he was pulled from WWE’s live event in Texas on Monday night as a “precautionary measure.” Ambrose seemed ok, working a triple threat against Miz and Dolph Ziggler in the main event. Styles is expected to be on Smackdown Live for his title match against the dastardly James Ellsworth tonight, though.

How would you book Mickie James’ return to the main roster? Tell me not on Monday Night RAW in the comments below.

Ummm..Ziggler was not on Smackdown last night. 🙁

Sorry, should’ve been clearer – Ambrose wrestled Ziggler and Miz on the WWE live event on Monday night with the Smackdown touring crew.

Was it intentional that you mentioned the Nia Jax tweet FOUR times in this article?
Either way it was ANNOYING AS HELL!
Oli Davis says
It’s a Groundhog Day joke.

AGREED most of these so called writers are annoying and boring.
Gary@FlickeringMyth says
How would you suggest they become less boring?
Dre Edwards says
I think it was connected to the Bill Murray and Groundhog’s Day reference he made in the article. He was making a joke I guess.
