At Mech-Con 2016 last night Piranha Games announced MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, the franchise’s first standalone single-player title in 15 years. Watch the trailer below…
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries features intense PvE Mech combat through a career based campaign that puts players in the role of a MechWarrior mercenary. Set in the year 3015 as the Third Succession War continues to fracture the Inner Sphere players must not only perfect their combat skills but also make enough profit in order to maintain and enhance their mech.
“Our main goal with MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be developed using Unreal Engine 4 and released on PC in 2018. is to provide fans with a standalone, story-driven single-player experience that allows for a great amount of flexibility in terms of player choice, built on a foundation of the intense, tactical ‘Mech combat the franchise is known for,” said Russ Bullock, president of Piranha Games.
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be developed using Unreal Engine 4 and released on PC in 2018.
