Back in October 2016 Flickering Myth’s Jordan Jones gave us “Ten overlooked indie games to play this Halloween” and one in particular was Stasis from The Brotherhood, with Jordan saying of it, “The game has a very old-school look, and feel which serves it really well. The environments are hyper-detailed, and grotesque.”
Now over on Kickstarter The Brotherhood have just dropped their next title – Beautiful Desolation – for backing and not only that they have given away another game on Steam and GOG.
Beautiful Desolation is an isometric post-apocalyptic adventure game.
A tragic incident tears apart a brotherly bond but is also the catalyst for an epic adventure that spans from the 1980s and beyond.
1980 saw the Penrose appear without warning or fanfare. One day the sky was empty, and the next it was filled by an impossibly shaped monolith.
Governments laid claim to this magnificent structure and assembled an investigation team to learn about its origin and purpose.
Penrose technology was reverse engineered, accelerating our understanding of physics, materials and computing by centuries. Mankind hurtled forward on an alternative historical trajectory.
The world rejoiced…
