According to The Wrap, Liam Neeson is in negotiations to join the cast of Steve McQueen’s new film Widows, where he’ll play the husband of Viola Davis’ character.
The big screen adaptation of Lynda La Plante’s 1983 British TV miniseries has been scripted by McQueen and Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn and follows four women who team up to complete a heist when their husbands are killed on the job.
In addition to Davis, the cast also includes Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Kaluuya and Andre Holland.The film will mark McQueen’s first since his Best Picture-winning 12 Years a Slave in 2013.
