At the offices of Retro Computers Ltd. (RCL) things are certainly kicking up a gear or two as developments seem to be coming in thick and fast recently in regards to the Sinclair ZX Vega+. These latest bits of news revolve around the arrival of the first batch of colourful handhelds and the additional games being added onto the machines library.
It appeared Saturday past, RCL were meant to take delivery of the Red, White and Blue models – of the ZX Vega+ – however what with fate stepping in at the last moment not everything went to plan, but now they’re in the hands of the team and as you can see from the glimpse above, they certainly do look colourful. We’re told to expect more footage tomorrow including more stills, booting up and a game playing.
Along with this news RCL also have thanked the numerous key players in the games developments community that have come forward to offer up games, both classic and new titles. Highlighting that some of the publishers were known to them team – at RCL – and somewhere completely new to them.
As the retro community are aware Indiegogo closed the RCL campaign, stopping all submissions of future money, this has also been discussed in their recent update:
“We can also confirm that Indiegogo are happy for us to return to “InDemand” once we’ve fulfilled our first perk. We always knew that once we were three months late, this was a possible scenario. So another big thanks to the team at Indiegogo.”
