Below you can see some rather splendid images of the device including a completely transparent ZX Spectrum Next, currently on show over on the Kickstarter page, along with a cluster of other views for the next evolution of the Sinclair line.
With the external casing designed by award-winning Rick Dickinson – who we interviewed back in August 2016 – this machine builds upon the form of the ZX Spectrum + the last Sinclair machine before the Amstrad buy-out.
Back in May 2016, when we interviewed Henrique Olifiers the initial hope for a Kickstarter launch was to start in June 2016 with a launch in Q1 or Q2 2017, but this obviously didn’t happen. However over this year the machine has been fine-tuned, along with this we’ve seen updates and videos appearing on Facebook, the ever-expanding fanbase has grown and been waiting for this Kickstarter date to finally arrive with bated breath, and it now has.
As with all Kickstarters, the minimum perk is a £1 “Share the love” then it’s straight up to a £99 for a just the board, £175 with get you a ZX Spectrum Next but the ultimate perk for £5000 will get you.
