A24 has released three terrifying new promos for It Comes at Night, which may be best viewed with the lights up and door closed for those avoiding maximum scares. Check out the unnerving, mysterious and nightmare-inducing promos down below…
As has been a common thread through much of the marketing campaign, promotional material for It Comes at Night only vaguely hints at the film’s plot, supplying just enough intrigue to garner the interest of potential audience members. Many horror films make the mistake of giving away their biggest surprises in the previews, but so far, it looks as if A24 has been successful in avoiding this issue.
It Comes at Night could prove to be the breakout indie horror hit of the year, standing among Get Out by the end of the year as one of the genre’s best. The film has already premiered to high praise at Oregon’s Overlook Film Festival, with critics generally coming to the consensus that it is a masterclass of horror filmmaking.
Between American Honey, Moonlight, 20th Century Women and more, A24 has been on a hot streak recently that It Comes at Night will certainly look to continue.
The film stars Joel Edgerton, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Carmen Ejogo, Christopher Abbott and Riley Keough and is written and directed by the man behind 2015’s Krisha, Trey Edward Shults. Expect it to hit US theaters on June 9th.
