It appears that we have our first look at Assassin’s Creed: Origins, the next instalment in Ubisoft’s bestselling action-adventure video game series, with an image leaking online via Reddit which Eurogamer has confirmed as being legit…
There’s very little concrete info on the new game, although WWG has posted a report which claims that Origins “is a vast open world experience taking place in ancient Egypt” and that the story “is rumoured to revolve around the original assassin’s guild and will feature two main characters – a man and a woman.”
The report goes on to state that the structure of Origins will be less linear than previous instalments – drawing comparisons to Skyrim – and that players will be able to not only explore ancient Egypt but also beyond, possibly even as far as Greece.
Assassin’s Creed: Origins is expected to arrive in the fall, with Ubisoft likely to officially unveil the game at E3 next month.
