Creative Assembly have released a new video for their upcoming title Total War: Warhammer II that provides a more in-depth look at the Lizardmen roster. This video has been edited from the Facebook stream that took place on the 16th May and gets right down to the nitty gritty to cover the details we want to hear. Watch this video below…
We were able to get brief glimpses of some of the troop types that Lizardmen fans could expect in game in the recent Lizardmen in-engine trailer (see here) so some will come as no surprise. However, there are lots more details covered in this latest video.
Lizardmen Legendary Lords will include the ancient and powerful Slann Mage Priest Mazdamundi, who rides into battle on his palanquin-throne atop a huge Stegadon and uses his colossal power to ensure he can fulfill his great purpose, and the old Saurus warrior Kroq-Gar. Kroq-Gar is the last of his spawning and has been assigned the task of exterminating all not part of the Great Plan.
Other Lord characters include younger (but still very old) Slann Mage Priests, Saurus Old Blood and Scar Veteran (both of which can either be on foot or mounted on a Cold One or Carnosaur), Skink Chief and Priest )both of which can be on foot, Terradon, Stegadon and Ancient Stegadon.
Infantry units consist of Skink Cohorts armed with shields or javelins, Skink Skirmishers with blow pipes, Chameleon Skinks (experts in stealth and have poisoned melee weapons), Temple Guard (Elite Saurus Warriors) and Saurus Warriors armed with shields and spears. Kroxigors are monstrous sized infantry with the stature similar to that of a troll but more muscular.
The Lizardmen have access to many different types of cavalry including riderless Feral Cold Ones, Cold Ones with riders, Horned Ones and Terradon Riders for those aerial attacks.
All Lizardmen fans would expect this army to have access to more than it’s fair share of monsters and they won’t be disappointed. Lizardmen armies will come with a good variety of prehistoric monsters including: Feral Bastiladon, Feral Stegadon, Feral Carnosaur, Bastiladon with Revivification Crystal, Bastiladon with Solar Engine, Stegadon with Giant Crossbow and Ancient Stegadon with Giant Blowpipes.
What do you think of the Lizardmen army? Is it one you can’t wait to command or one you can’t wait to conquer? Share your thoughts in the comments below…
