Oli Davis rounds up the biggest professional wrestling news in his daily WrestleTalk column…
One of WWE’s most gruelling annual schedules – the promotion’s tour of Europe, running 24 shows in 14 different countries over just 11 days – has finally come to an end, and the rather tired WWE wrestlers are getting some well deserved rest, by becoming half human/half blanket hybrids.
AJ Styles posted that Charlotte photo on Instagram, sparking a war with the former 228 time Women’s Champion, who quickly retorted with The Phenomenal One’s much less graceful sleeping pose.
As the exhausted Raw roster will be heading straight into action this evening, expect the in-ring action to be slightly sloppy, and the average match time to be even shorter than usual. But at least we’ll get to see what direction WWE is heading in with Braun Strowman now no longer facing Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire because of injury.
Strowman was written of television last Monday following a chair attack from Roman Reigns, and will reportedly undergo minor surgery for issues with his elbow, keeping him out of action for between 4-8 weeks. Braun has since shared an inspirational message on Instagram to all those budding Monsters Among Men:

I will return to finish what I've started and that's carving my name in history as the most destructive thing #WWE has ever seen. This surgery is just a minor speed bump I will return bigger stronger faster and even more dangerous than ever mark my words I'm the definition of unstoppable!!! #braunstrowman #monsteramongmen #nothingcankeepmedown
Then he somewhat lessened his Monster Heel coolness, posting a heartwarming status with his sister.

This moment right here I forgot I was injured for these few precious moments I had no pain for the joy of not only seeing my little sister but being able to share my life with her and for her to see what I love and do and for us to be able to share this in London England of all places because we usually only see each other once a year because we are both very busy with our lives I'm so glad that you were able to share this with me @hannahrs22 I'm so proud of you and the young woman you have grown up to be. I love you. #weregiants
During the European tour, Emma appeared to injure her shoulder after landing awkwardly at last Sunday’s show in Liverpool, England. The match was quickly finished, Emma was helped to the back and later flew home early. Thankfully, going by her latest Instagram post, it looks like she won’t have to undergo surgery once again:
Increasing speculation that Adam Cole (BAYBAY!) is on his way to WWE, the first ever three-time ROH World Champion was kicked out of the Bullet Club at Friday night’s War of the Worlds iPPV, just like AJ Styles a year and a half ago.
Kenny Omega was again the ring leader, appearing in a pre-taped video at the end of Cole’s match against Hiroshi Tanahashi, saying that while every story must have a hero, it must also have…a villain, unveiling my favourite wrestler in the world right now – Marty Scurll – as the Club’s newest addition. I lost my s-word.

Scurll appeared behind Cole in the ring, opening his trademark umbrella to reveal the Bullet Club logo, and – with the Young Bucks’ help – proceeded to beat down the man he replaced.
That this was effectively the angle to write Cole off Ring of Honor television, with the preceding match and celebration acting like his farewell, this all but confirms he’s on his way to WWE. If only there was an NXT TakeOver in somewhere like Chicago this weekend where he could show up sitting at ringside.
