After being quiet on the Sinclair ZX Vega+ front for a few weeks the people over at Retro Computer Ltd. (RCL) have now dropped an update on their Indiegogo campaign page, to let the backers know what they are currently up to.
Arriving in four sections the update tackled three parts the first being Games.
“We are powering forward with old, new and replacement games”
Nothing as yet is known about the games on the ZX Vega+ though we have seen Jetpac, Horace, Turbo Esprit, Jet Set Willy and Alter Ego 2: Dreamweaver across the web along with a cluster of other titles in the screenshot below.
RCL are currently:
“…finalising the boring but very necessary paperwork. It’s been time consuming but we promise you’ll all reap the rewards of your patience.”
When the list is finalised we here at Flickering Myth will print it out in full.
Next up the update turns to the Roll of Honor [sic] with confirmation that emails will be sent out to clarify the name you have chosen to be added to this list. Highlighting if you’re name is considered rude it shan’t be appearing. For those that want to check their name you can follow this link here.
Next the Dizzy 30th Anniversary event which occurred back at the beginning of April 2017 at the National Videogame Arcade in Nottingham, in which the ZX Vega+ made an appearance for people to get to grips with. There is no mention however if the Dizzy games shall be appearing on the ZX Vega+, just talk of the Oliver Twins and their attendance at the Beeston Vega+ launch last October.
Finally the RCL team turn to the release date of this long-awaited retrogaming device, which a large number of backers are waiting for and all they can reveal in this update is:
“…we’ve been holding off as we don’t want to do is give you a date which might move again. “
So no firm date as yet but they do close off the update with:
“Just stay tuned here and please keep the faith. We all want the same end game; you get your Vega+ and we all win.”
