Historical warfare MMO developers Wargaming.net have partnered up with Warner Bros. to remember Dunkirk, one of the most important events of World War II and the inspiration for the epic action film written and directed by Christopher Nolan.
The evacuation from Dunkirk took place from the 26th May until the 4th June 1940 and saw hundreds of thousands of British and British Empire troops in the British Expeditionary Force trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk in France and surrounded by huge German forces. With their backs to the English Channel there seemed to be no escape until salvation came in the form of fleets of both military and civilian vessels of all sizes.
Those players who enter the field of battle in World of Tanks, World of Warships and World of Warplanes will be able to take part in a series of missions, earn emblems and medals etc supporting the film.
