We’ve been following the brief glimpses of Genesis Alpha One from Award-winning international games label Team17 and Germany-based indie developers Radiation Blue for a few months now. This rogue-like, FPS with elements of base-building and survival has already pricked numerous levels of interest. In the E3 trailer (which you can watch below) we’re introduced to IDA, the AI onboard the USS Genesis that will be guiding us – the players – to save humanity from the brink of extinction.
Planet Earth has succumbed to war, pollution and corruption. Before all is lost, Earth’s major corporations create the Genesis Programme, tasking a fleet of ships with a journey into uncharted space on the ultimate mission: to find a suitable new home for humanity’s DNA.
Combining a unique mix of genres Genesis Alpha One allows players to build and customise their vessel, farm resources, deal with terrifying alien infestations, clone creatures and explore a vast, randomly generated universe.
