GKIDS and Fathom Events have announced that Hayao Miyazaki’s animated classic Kiki’s Delivery Service is set for a theatrical release in the U.S. on July 23rd (dubbed) and July 24th (subtitled) as part of Studio Ghibli Fest.
The beloved coming-of-age story tells of a resourceful young witch who uses her broom to create a delivery service, only to lose her gift of flight in a moment of self-doubt. It is tradition for all young witches to leave their families on the night of a full moon and set out into the wide world to learn their craft. When that night comes for Kiki, she embarks on her life journey with her chatty black cat, Jiji, landing the next morning in a picturesque seaside village, where a bakery owner hires her to make deliveries.
Tickets for Kiki’s Delivery Service can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Visit the website for a full list of screens.
