This month’s update brings 2 new multiplayer maps with the return of one from the original Gears of War. The 2 new maps are available now for Season Pass Holders and include:
This map sees the return of the classic shallow canal overlooked by the trio of bridges. This map is set in the moonlit city streets of Timgad and provides plenty of atmosphere. Just as in the original, this map offers plenty of sniper opportunities but ensure you can change to your Gnasher Shotgun quickly for intense close quarters combat.
This map is a slightly modified version of Forge providing a tighter and faster pace. Taking place in a sand-swept factory damaged over time by a Windflare, players will fight faster and more tactical than ever before. Changes to this map involve the removal of the secondary entrances to the Control Room and elbow behind the Incinerator and the tightening of the exits from the spawn points to ensure more opportunities for aggressive close combat.
The Summer of Gears event celebrates this month with an increase to the First Win of the Day credit bonus. Every day this month will award every player with 500 credits for their first win, which is a 400 credit increase from normal. This means that an additional 12,400 credits can be earned.
