Bohemia Interactive have announced that the Laws of War DLC is now available for Arma 3. This latest DLC allows players to experience a brand new single player mini-campaign called Remnants of War and also adds a new faction, equipment and items. Watch the new trailer below …
The Laws of War DLC introduces players to International Humanitarian Law (IHL), something that many games tend to gloss over in their bid to create non-stop action. IHL places a stronger emphasis on the consequences of players actions and is one of the themes of the mini-campaign. In this new campaign players take the role of EOD specialist Nathan MacDade and given the stressful job of deactivating landmines after the war on the Republic of Altis & Stratis has ended. During an interview you discover what happened in the town of Oreokastro via memory fragments that allow the player to experience the war from the different factions involved, including a civilian.
New content within this DLC includes the new IDAP humanitarian faction with a number of different character outfits, a van with a total of 20 different liveries, different variants of utility drones, the APERS Mine Dispenser weapon system, a paramedic outfit and a large variety of vests, bags, head gear and face wear.
A free platform update will also be released to support the DLC and will include refined cluster strikes, simulation of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), improvements to identifying and deactivating mines, the ability to drop customised information leaflets from the sky using the new drone, a wide variety of emergency and medical supplies and more.
