Matt Hardy is #Woken!
After months of waiting, and a week full of speculation, Matt Hardy finally unveiled his ‘Woken’ Gimmick on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Despite concerns from fans, it does appear as though the WWE is going all out with the gimmick, simply changing the name from Broken to Woken and presumably leaving everything else as it is.
Hardy debuted the character during a highly amusing segment with Bray Wyatt, spouting some nonsense about Plato, Cleopatra, and his journey through time and space. The live crowd on Raw ate it up, as did fans on social media. A feud with Bray seems like a logical first step for the character in the WWE, and who knows, maybe it can even manage to make Bray interesting again.

Big Match Set for Next Week’s Raw
Kane was absent from last week’s Raw, with The Big Red Machine likely off doing some political stuff, but that didn’t stop him appearing in a pre-taped segment to set up a bout with Braun Strowman for next week’s show. Kane appeared during a segment between Braun and Elias, telling Braun that there would only be one monster left standing after next week.
One has to think that next week’s match, like the last time the two met, will have some sort of big crazy finish, as rumours suggest the company want to hold off for a match between the pair at the Royal Rumble. The close of the show also suggests we may say a six man tag bout between The Bar and Samoa Joe and all three members of The Shield on next week’s show as well.
205 Live heading on the road
Following reports earlier in the week, the WWE has confirmed that the 205 Live brand will be going on the road for three shows towards the end of January next year. The show has confirmed dates for January the 19th, 20th, and 21st. This is an interesting development from the company, as there has been a lot of speculation in the last few months as to whether or not the brand was going to be sticking around in the near future or not. Perhaps Enzo has been shifting a lot of merch? Regardless, it will be interesting to keep an eye on the attendance figures for these shows.
