Winners of the Mixed Match Challenge
The final of the Mixed Match Challenge took place after last night’s edition of Smackdown Live. The match saw the team of Asuka and The Miz defeat Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode when The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Roode.
The final was a fun match, one which provided us with a sneak pick of Asuka and Charlotte going against each other just days before their clash at WrestleMania 34. The Miz and Asuka announced that they would be giving their $100,000 prize money to the Rescue Dogs Rock charity.
The Undertaker Not Appearing at WrestleMania?
The Undertaker Vs John Cena has had one of the weirdest builds in WrestleMania history, with John Cena calling Taker out each week, only for The Deadman not to respond. We are just days away from this year’s WrestleMania and the match-up has yet to be announced. This means there are two options, the first being that Taker is going to appear as Biker Taker, and that the WWE decided to keep it a secret, or secondly, that The Undertaker Vs John Cena isn’t actually happening at this year’s event.
Ringside News reported that on the latest episode of PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson stated that the latter option is actually what may be happening. Johnson speculated that Taker is scheduled to be at Mania, but there is no word on whether he is going to compete, indicating that perhaps he will appear to set up an angle later down the line. It seems crazy to think that this may actually be the case, and would be a huge disappointment if it were to happen.
NXT Title Belt Revealed
Triple H took to Twitter yesterday to reveal the new NXT North American Championship belt. The belt’s first winner will be decided at this Saturday’s NXT Takeover: New Orleans event in a ladder match, which will see Adam Cole, Killian Dain, EC3, Ricochet, Lars Sullivan and Velveteen Dream battle it out.

Personally, I quite like the old school design of the belt, it’s certainly a step up from some of the current title belts on the main roster.
