Finn Balor Vs Bobby Lashley (c)- Intercontinental Championship
This is one of the least interesting matches on the card, largely because we’ve seen it a million times already over the last couple of months.
Balor coming in as The Demon is the biggest spoiler in the WWE, so bank on him winning this one.
Prediction: Finn Balor Wins
Kurt Angle Vs Baron Corbin- Kurt Angle Farewell Match
In terms of matches confirmed for the night, this is the one that is the most likely to undergo some sort of change at the show. Fan’s reaction to Corbin as Angle’s final opponent has been mixed, to say the least, and the company could decide to change course and bring someone like John Cena or even The Undertaker in as a last minute replacement.
Another scenario is that Angle makes incredibly quick work of Corbin, only for someone else to come in and say that Angle deserves better, setting up an impromptu encounter.
Whatever happens here, Angle should not be putting over Corbin in his last match, regardless of what industry etiquette says.
Prediction: Kurt Angle Wins
Daniel Bryan (c) Vs Kofi Kingston- WWE Championship
Kofi-Mania has swept over the WWE Universe in recent months, and fans are expecting to see the New Day member win his first ever WWE Title this Sunday night.
Unfortunately, I don’t think that is going to happen. While Kofi’s rise to the top of the WWE has been excellent to watch, the whole push feels as though it has happened incredibly fast, and I have a feeling the WWE don’t actually know what to do if they decide to give Kingston the gold on the night.
It might not be a popular opinion, but giving Kofi the belt may not prove to be the best idea. Instead, having Big E screw him out of the belt would establish him as the breakout star of the group and one of the hottest heels in the company.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan Retains
Brock Lesnar (c) Vs Seth Rollins- Universal Championship
If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s that you can’t bet against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. The decision to have him go over Roman Reigns at last year’s WrestleMania shocked the WWE Universe, and we shouldn’t rule out them going down the same route again Sunday night.
That being said, Rollins deserves a run with the main belt, and taking the belt off Lesnar, whose post Mania status is still unconfirmed, does free up the main event scene on Raw and finally allows the Universal belt a chance to be regularly featured on television.
A Rollins victory followed by a post-match Shield celebration could prove to be one of the biggest highlights of this year’s card.
Prediction: Seth Rollins Wins
Ronda Rousey (c) Vs Charlotte (c) Vs Becky Lynch- Winner takes all, SmackDown and Raw Women’s Championships
History will be made Sunday night when these three women main-event WrestleMania 35. The match has had the longest build on the card by some way, with Lynch’s rise to the top beginning all the way back at SummerSlam last year.
All three of these women are exceptional in the ring, and there is little to no doubt that they will deliver on Sunday night.
While there is a cynical side of me that things the WWE may swerve fans and give the win to Rousey or Charlotte, this one was designed to get Lynch over as the new top face of the women’s division going forward.
Lynch holding both titles above her head will be the closing image of the night. If the WWE really want to put an emphasis on how far women’s wrestling has come, then they may also decide to have Charlotte and Lynch embrace at the end, with Banks and Bayley joining them to hold aloft their titles as well.
Prediction: Becky Lynch wins
