Despite the fact that Keifer Sutherland has previously said that 24 is “definitely over for me” and Fox has stated that his character Jack Bauer will be absent from 24: Legacy, executive producer Howard Gordon has revealed that the door is open for him to appear in the upcoming spinoff series.
“I do think the character has life in him, whether it’s a movie or if he intersects with this new iteration of 24, [Legacy],” said Gordon the ATX TV Festival in Austin (via Deadline). “I sure would love to see him at some point on the show, and I don’t think he’s ruled it out, either.”
According to the site, there is a potential arc in the second half of 24: Legacy’s series which could involve Jack Bauer, assuming a deal can be reached with Sutherland, who is also involved in the series as an executive producer. Sutherland does however have the new show Designated Survivor on his schedule, which Fox is confident it could work around.
