Who We Are…
From independent and world cinema to the latest Hollywood blockbusters and ‘geek’ culture, Flickering Myth covers all aspects of the movie, TV, comic book and video game industries with news, reviews, trailers, interviews, articles, opinions and more.
Here at Flickering Myth, we value movies as much as we do films. We’re the product of Ghostbusters double bills and academic Film Studies. We believe it possible to enjoy both Star Wars and La Règle du Jeu equally, though maybe in different capacities. Simply put, we love cinema, in both its commercial and intellectual pursuits.

Luke Owen (Deputy Editor, FM Podcast Producer)
Luke Owen is a freelance writer and podcast producer from just outside of London. He co-created online anthology series The Collector’s Room and has directed various shorts before focusing his attention on writing. You will never find “the classics” in his DVD collection as they are buried amongst horror and kaiju movies – although he does have an affinity for The Muppets. Follow him on Twitter and contact him here.
Oli Davis (Co-Editor. FMTV Producer)
Oliver Davis’ MA in Film Studies is intellectually offset by his deep love of any movie boasting a professional wrestler amongst its cast. A cinephile since the opening shot of 2001: A Space Odyssey, which he first saw at the age of twelve, his tastes tend toward the older, Frenchier stuff (pre-1945), but he loves nothing more than an overlong, Judd Apatow-produced comedy. Which is a flowery way of saying he loves films and movies. Follow him on Twitter and contact him here.
Villordsutch (Games Editor)
Villordsutch is Games Editor and Senior Staff Writer for Flickering Myth. His life in gaming started back in 1981 with a 1K ZX81 and he still has this sat on a shelf today. His life in all things Science Fiction from Blake’s 7 to Dune and Twin Peaks has kept him firmly entrenched in the strange and the bizarre, from which he never wants to leave. You can find this aging Viking on Twitter. and contact him here.
