Kristen Stewart joins Kelly Reichardt’s latest

March 3, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Following on from news that director Kelly Reichardt (Night Moves) was reteaming with her Wendy and Lucy star Michelle Williams on her new as yet-untitled film, it looks like Kristen Stewart is now set to join them.

Deadline has reported that Stewart, fresh from her famous win at the French Cesar Awards, will join the cast of the film, which has also added Laura Dern (Wild), Jared Harris (Mad Men) and James Le Gros (Justified) to its impressive ranks.

Written and directed by Reichardt, the film is “a series of vignettes that revolve around the lives of people in small-town Montana.” Stewart will play “a young lawyer from Boise who takes a teaching job several hours from her house. Despite her nerves about teaching, she’s determined to prove to herself that she can do it. Soon after taking the job, Beth develops a close friendship with Jamie, a local woman who’s auditing her class.”

Shooting is expected to take place very soon. Stewart can currently be seen opposite Oscar winner Julianne Moore in Still Alice, which is released in UK cinemas this Friday, while her Cesar-winning performance in Clouds of Sils Maria opens on May 15th in UK cinemas.
