William Monahan’s Mojave bought by A24 Films

April 26, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

A24 Films, who distributed recent hits such as Ex Machina and While We’re Young, has acquired William Monahan’s latest thriller Mojave, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Mojave is an intense, classical thriller about a brilliant artist, Thomas (Hedlund), who attempts to escape his privileged existence into the desert only to encounter a homicidal drifter, Jack (Isaac). The chase moves from the spectacular vistas of the American desert to a noir Los Angeles, culminating in a vortex of criminality and brutality as Thomas emerges as an equally dangerous opponent.

Mojave stars Oscar Isaac (Ex_Machina), Garrett Hedlund (On The Road), Dania Ramirez (Premium Rush), Walter Goggins (Breaking Bad), Fran Kranz (Cabin in the Woods) and Mark Wahlberg (The Gambler).
