Christina Hendricks joins Bad Santa 2

January 7, 2016 by Robert Kojder

It appears that Lauren Graham won’t be coming back as the love interest for Willie (Billy Bob Thornton) in Bad Santa 2, but a seemingly suitable replacement has been found in Christina Hendricks, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Not much about the plot is known yet, but Hendricks will apparently play the head of a charity organization targeted by Willie and his mother (played by Kathy Bates). Apparently, she’ll also serve as the romantic backbone of the narrative.

Bad Santa 2 is being directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls) from a script by Entourage creator Doug Ellin along with Johnny Rosenthal and Shauna Cross. Tony Cox (Marcus) and Brett Kelly (Thurman Merman) are set to reprise their roles from the original movie alongside Thornton as Willie Soke, while Katy Bates (American Horror Story) will play Willie’s foul-mouthed mother Sunny.
