Jennifer Lawrence in talks to join Sandra Bullock for Ocean’s 11 reboot

May 13, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

With the release of her new film X-Men: Apocalypse only a few days away, The Tracking Board is reporting that Jennifer Lawrence has lined up a new project, with the Oscar winner in talks to join the all-female reboot of Ocean’s 11.

Gary Ross, who directed Lawrence in the first Hunger Games film, is attached to direct the reboot at Warner Bros with fellow Oscar winner Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side) set to star in the Danny Ocean role.

Apparently the new film will continue on from the Steven Soderbergh-directed trilogy with Bullock playing the ex-con sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney). She would be helped by her right-hand woman, similar to the role played by Brad Pitt, which is reportedly who Lawrence would be playing. The ladies will then “form a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a villainous gallery owner.”

Director Ross’ latest film, Free State of Jones starring Matthew McConaughey, is set for release this June, while X-Men: Apocalypse opens in the UK on May 18th.
