It looks like the hit first-person shooter Battlefield is heading to the small screen, with Electronic Arts announcing that Paramount TV and Anonymous Content are partnering up for a TV adaptation.
“Battlefield has a tremendous built-in, engaged fan base, making it a highly coveted piece of IP primed for long-form adaption,” said Michael Sugar of Anonymous Content. “Together with EA and Paramount TV, we’ll develop the Battlefield TV series with the same commitment to robust storytelling that has made the game such a runaway success for nearly 15 years.”
The Battlefield series has sold over 60 million copies around the world, and the latest instalment, Battlefield 1, is set to arrive in October.
