Levi Meaden and Jing Tian join Pacific Rim 2

September 25, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Legendary Pictures has announced a couple of casting additions for Pacific Rim 2, with Levi Meaden (Aftermath) set to play “an irreverent and offbeat” cadet and Chinese actress Jing Tian (Police Story: Lockdown) signing on for an as-yet-unrevealed role.

The follow-up to Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 action sci-fi is being directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Daredevil) and will star John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as the son of Idris Elba’s Stacker Pentecost alongside Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad) and Cailee Spaeny (Counting to 1,000).

Filming on Pacific Rim 2 is slated to get underway in November, so expect more casting announcements over the coming weeks. The film will open in cinemas on February 23rd, 2018.
