Coby Bell joins Marvel and Fox’s X-Men pilot

March 8, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Deadline has revealed that Coby Bell (Burn Notice) has signed on to appear in Marvel and Fox’s as-yet-untitled X-Men TV pilot, where he will play the character of Jace Turner, “a weathered man who quietly wrestles with the moral ambiguities of a job that regularly requires cold-blooded, calculating efficiency on a day-to-day basis.”

The pilot has been written by Matt Nix (Burn Notice), with Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse) set to direct. Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Amy Acker (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) are set to play the leads, Reed and Kate Stewart, who go on the run when it is discovered that their children possess mutant powers.

They are joined in the cast by Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs) as daughter Lauren, Emma Dumont (Pretty Little Liars) as Lorna Dane/Polaris,  Jamie Chung (Gotham) as Clarice Fong/Blink, Blair Redford (Switched at Birth) as Sam, the leader of an underground mutant network, and Sean Teale (Incorporated) as Marcos Diaz/Eclipse, a mutant created specifically for the show.
