Production underway on season 2 of Marvel’s Luke Cage

June 6, 2017 by Gary Collinson

According to OLV, Marvel Television has begun production on the second season of Netflix’s Luke Cage, with filming said to have commenced today in New York City.

Details on the second season of the Marvel show are being kept under wraps, but we do know that Mike Colter’s Power Man will be back alongside showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and Theo Rossi, who plays the villain Shades. Presumably we’ll also see the return of Simone Missick’s Misty Knight and Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard, while a rumoured casting breakdown has reportedly revealed two new characters.

Season two of Luke Cage is expected to hit Netflix in 2018, while Mike Colter’s Power Man will next be seen alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist in The Defenders, which arrives on August 18th.
