Pixar officially announces new film Soul for summer 2020

Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios have officially announced the release of the original animated feature film Soul, which will hit cinemas one year from today on Jun 19th 2020.

The official synopsis for Soul reads:

Ever wonder where your passion, your dreams and your interests come from? What is it that makes you… YOU? In 2020, Pixar Animation Studios takes you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions.

Soul is being directed by Pete Docter (Up, Inside Out) and will be the second Pixar release next following Onward, which opens on June 19th 2020. Check out the first Onward trailer here.
