UPDATE: Tom Ellis says Lucifer won’t appear in DC crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths

October 19, 2019 by Gary Collinson

UPDATE: Speaking to ET, actor Tom Ellis has denied that he’ll be making a cameo appearance as Lucifer Morningstar in Crisis on Infinite Earths, stating that: “Right, okay, see… this is what happens. I go to Vancouver for the weekend to visit my friend for his birthday and now suddenly, I’m in a different show! “No! Hard pass, sorry… Sorry fans.”

Whether he’s telling the truth or not, we shall see. Original story follows…

Lucifer fans may not have to wait until next year to catch up with Tom Ellis’ Lucifer Morningstar, as it is being reported that the actor may be linking up with The CW’s DC Comics characters for a guest appearance in the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths Arrowverse event.

According to a report from the reliable Canadagraphs on Twitter, David Ramsey (Diggle), Katherine McNamara (Mia Smoak) and Matt Ryan (Constantine) shot a scene on Friday night, where they were joined by Tom Ellis who was said to be in costume as devilishly charming Lucifer.

Because of the wonderful driver at #TheFlash set tonight who kept using their high beams for no reason but to annoy, let me give you all a little scoop on a #CrisisOnInfiniteEarths scene shot today.

As Screen Rant points out, both Crisis on Infinite Earths and the fifth and final season of Lucifer are both shooting in Vancouver, so it’s possible that Ellis was simply visiting the set. However, that also makes it pretty convenient should the producers want to take the opportunity to throw in another DC Universe-related character…

Crisis on Infinite Earths is set to air across five nights – Supergirl on Sunday, December 8th, Batwoman on Monday, December 9th, The Flash on Tuesday, December 10th, and Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, January 14th 2020 – and features a stacked cast of DC alumni including Smallville’s Tom Welling and Erica Durance as Clark Kent and Lois Lane, The Flash’s John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen, Batman 66’s Burt Ward, Batman: The Animated Series‘ Kevin Conroy as a future Bruce Wayne, Birds of Prey’s Ashley Scott as Huntress, Brandon Routh as Superman, Black Lightning’s Cress Williams, and Arrowverse returnees Tyler Hoechlin (Superman), Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane), Jon Cryer (Lex Luthor), Audrey Marie Anderson (Harbinger), LaMonica Garrett (The Monitor/The Anti-Monitor), and Johnathon Schaech (Jonah Hex).
