Ahead of its release in theatres and on the HBO Max streaming service on June 4th, 2021, the third instalment in The Conjuring franchise, titled The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, has received its age rating.
Much like the first two The Conjuring movies, the MPA has revealed that the Michael Chaves-directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It has received an R rating for “Terror, Violence, and some disturbing images.”
“A chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defence.”
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is directed by Michael Chaves from a screenplay written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and The Conjuring universe creator James Wan. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are set to reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren respectively with Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard starring alongside them.
