Chris Evans is Ghosted by Ana de Armas in trailer for spy comedy

March 6, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Apple has dropped the teaser trailer for Ghosted, their eagerly anticipated re-teaming of Knives Out and The Gray Man duo Chris Evans and Ana de Armas.

Directed by Sunshine on Leith (spot the soundtrack connection) and Bohemian Rhapsody helmer Dexter Fletcher, Ghosted appears to come from the same play-book as Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Hitman’s Bodyguard in telling the tale of a couple caught up in the high-stakes world of international espionage.

Evans plays Cole, a man smitten following his date with de Amras’ enigmatic Sadie, only to be ghosted by her. Determined not to let the girl of his dreams get away, he tracks her down, only to discover that she is a globe-trotting spy at the centre of a dangerous world-saving mission.

Written by Deadpool‘s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Ghosted also stars Adrien Brody, Mike Moh, Tim Blake Nelson, Marwan Kenzari, Anna Deavere Smith, Lizze Broadway, Mustafa Shakir, Tiya Sircar, Amy Sedaris, and Tate Donovan; check out the trailer below…

Salt-of-the-earth Cole (Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (de Armas)—but then makes the shocking discovery that she’s a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.

Ghosted is streaming April 21st only on Apple TV+.
