Tom Cruise soars through the sky on Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning poster

How is Tom Cruise expected to ground himself in a seat for the Oscars ceremony when he spends most of his time hurtling through the clouds performing death-defying stunts? Case-in-point is the official poster for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which has just been dropped by Paramount Pictures and Skydance and features the already iconic image of Ethan Hunt flinging himself from a motorcycle. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and features M:I returnees Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Frederick Schmidt and Henry Czerny, along with new additions Esai Morales (Titans), Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Charles Parnell (The Last Ship), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), and Greg Tarzan Davis (Top Gun: Maverick).
