Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny tracking $60M-$70M of “fortune and glory” on opening weekend

June 9, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Indiana Jones is looking to dig up between $60M-$70M at the domestic box-office when Harrison Ford’s fifth and final outing as the iconic adventurer opens at the end of the month.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is tracking to open with $60 million to $70 million when it debuts on June 30th. That would put it on par with Mission: Impossible Fallout and No Time to Die. As a comparison, 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull opened with a three-day total of $100 million over 15 years ago.

The first film in the franchise not to be directed by Steven Spielberg, Dial of Destiny finds James Mangold (Logan) cracking the whip at Ford and his co-stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas, Ethann Isidore, Shaunette Renee Wilson, and Toby Jones.

Directed by James Mangold, the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981, is once again composing the score.

Indiana Jones final adventure begins when Dial of Destiny arrives in cinemas on June 30th, 2023.
