Anya Taylor-Joy believes she’s a perfect fit for Elsa in a live-action Frozen

Anya Taylor-Joy knows her icy good looks can get her far, but could they bring her to Arendelle?

During a recent interview, Taylor-Joy says she’s got the world of Frozen on her mind, even staking her claim to play a live-action version of the iconic Elsa.

Speaking with Vogue Hong Kong, the actress declares her love of the franchise and personal connection. She begins with her want of a musical moment: “I really want to do a musical because I’m a little too obsessed with my current job. I love the challenge of completing impossible tasks. I think that’s incredibly motivating for me, so the idea of ​​being able to sing, dance, and act at the same time is really exciting to me.”

“I think Frozen is going to be great,” she continues. “Shooting ice cubes out of your hands can be a lot of fun. And you’ll be the favorite at every kid’s birthday party. All my siblings have kids now, so I would love for them to be able to say, ‘My aunt is Elsa.’ That would be great!”

No live-action version is in development or even officially planned at Disney, but given how the studio operates these days, it’s bound to happen at some point. Meanwhile, the studio has the animated Frozen 3 is set for 2027.
