Black Mirror to return for seventh season at Netflix

November 22, 2023 by Ricky Church

The dystopian sci-anthology Black Mirror has been renewed for a seventh season, per Variety.

The news comes months after the series returned after a four year hiatus for its sixth season this summer with five episodes that again touched on concerns over technology and how people and society process tragedies.

Series creator Charlie Brooker and executive producers Annabel Jones and Jessica Rhodes are expected to return for season seven, which is said to begin production before the year is out.

There is no word on what the next batch of episodes will touch on next as this season focused on AI in entertainment, the obsession with true crime and a young woman cursed by a demon to kill innocent people or else bring about the apocalypse.

The cast for Black Mirror season 6 included Aaron Paul, Anjana Vasan, Annie Murphy, Auden Thornton, Ben Barnes, Clara Rugaard, Daniel Portman, Danny Ramirez, Himesh Patel, John Hannah, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Michael Cera, Monica Dolan, Myha’la Herrold, Paapa Essiedu, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek Pinault, Samuel Blenkin and Zazie Beetz.

Black Mirror Series 1 – 5 are available to stream on Netflix.
