Details on the new characters for Stranger Things season 2

Earlier in the week Netflix announced that it has renewed the hit supernatural drama Stranger Things, while creators The Duffer Brothers also offered up a few details on when we can expect when we return to the town of Hawkins, Indiana for the second season.

The new season is set to introduce three major new characters to the show, and TV Line has managed to get hold of casting breakdowns for the newcomers.

First up is max, a tough and confident 12-14 year old female whose  “appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era.” She will be joined by Max’s “very muscular and hyper-confident” Camaro-driving older brother Billy, along with Roman, a thirtysomething gender-neutral role, who has “suffered a great loss at an early age and has been seeking revenge ever since.”

The Duffer Brothers have also confirmed that the majority of the cast from season one will be back, although it’s “up in the air” whether Eleven will return. We’re guessing she will…
