Trailer for See You Soon starring Liam McIntyre and Jenia Tanaeva

July 3, 2019 by Ricky Church

ComingSoon has revealed the trailer for See You Soon, a World Cup romantic drama starring Liam McIntyre (Spartacus), Jenia Tanaeva and Harvey Keitel (The Irishman). The film sees McIntyre as a world-famous soccer player who suffers an injury, and sparks a romance with a bartender on a chance encounter during his recovery.

See You Soon comes from director David Mahmoudieh with a script written by Jenia Tanaeva and Mike Cestari. This marks Tanaeva’s first starring role and writing credit. She is also producing the film alongside Monella Kaplan and Vertical Entertainment.

See You Soon is a modern-day “Cinderella” and epic love story. A US soccer star suffers a career-threatening injury in the run-up to the World Cup and during his recovery embarks on a romance with a Russian single mom. The film carries a positive message about love building bridges between the unlikeliest of places, and the power of soccer to unite the world.

See You Soon will be released on July 26th.
