We already know that Hans Zimmer is set to swap the world of DC superheroes for Marvel next year as The Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel composer provides the score for Sony’s Marc Webb-directed sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but it seems he’ll also have a collaborator in Pharrell Williams, with the singer / songwriter / record producer revealing the news to Billboard Magazine. It’s actually not the first time that the duo have worked together, with Pharrell also contributing to the drum orchestra on Zimmer’s Man of Steel score.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to swing into cinemas on May 2nd 2014, with a cast that includes returning stars Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker / Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) and Sally Field (Aunt May) alongside Spidey newcomers Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) as Electro, Paul Giamatti (Sideways) as Rhino, Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) as Harry Osborn, Chris Cooper (American Beauty) as Norman Osborn, and Felicity Jones (Like Crazy) and Colm Feore (Thor) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
