With Thor: The Dark World now behind him, director Alan Taylor has started assembling the cast of his upcoming Terminator reboot Terminator: Genesis, with Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) set to join Arnold Schwarzenegger in the cast as Sarah Connor and her future son John.
While we’ve already heard several names mentioned in contention for the role of Kyle Reese, Variety is now reporting that Boyd Holbrook (The Host), Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard), Thomas Cocquerel (Anzac Girls), Sam Reid (The Railway Man) and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) are all set to read for the part played by Michael Biehn in the 1984 original. According to the site, Paramount had wanted both Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) to test, although both actors declined.
Terminator: Genesis is set for release on July 1st, 2015.
