Yesterday a rumour started doing the rounds suggesting that the upcoming live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot was going to be delayed, owing to the fact that around a third of the movie would be reshot under the supervision of producer Michael Bay (Transformers: Age of Extinction). Well, according to the man himself, the rumour is false, with Bay taking to Twitter to shoot down the report…

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Leibesman (Wrath of the Titans) and stars Megan Fox (Transformers) as April O’Neil, Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) as Raphael, Pete Ploszek (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) as Donatello, Noel Fisher (Battle Los Angeles) as Michaelangelo, Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) as Splinter, William Fichtner (The Dark Knight) as The Shredder, Will Arnett (The LEGO Movie) as Vernon Fenwick, Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost) as Bernadette Thompson and K. Todd Freeman (The Dark Knight) as Baxter Stockman. The film is set for release in North America on August 8th and here in the UK on October 17th. Watch the first trailer here.
