YES! I love all of Marvel but growing up X-MEN was always my young warrior heart lol so I get a little googly eyed to hear they’re about to take out TASM and TWS haha

  • Arturo Palencia

It hasn’t crossed 700 has it?

    • http://flickeringmyth.blogspot.com Flickering Myth

Crossed it on Tuesday according to The Wrap

  • The Walking Cuban

Transformers will beat it (sigh) but it’ll still be way better. Goes without saying of course.

    • Arturo Palencia

Duh that’s obvious, it’s not like they’re competing with T4 coming out a month later. Also the fact that this is the first Xmen film to cross 500 worldwide, and the last Transformers made a billion. Besides the reviews crushed every other movie out there something transformers can’t/won’t do! Lol 17% to a 92. I only want X-Men to beat the amazing Spider-Man 2 that’s all I want!!! However i won’t mind if it doesn’t beat Cap 2 since that movie was also great! And I’m actually surprised it made this much I honestly believed it would pass 500 but not do more than 600, congrats to them!

      • The Walking Cuban

Oh it’ll beat TASM 2 by tonight. And it’ll go on and beat Winter Soldier. Weird, ain’t it? Honestly though, I thought it’d make more than 8. More than wishful thinking I guess.

      • The Walking Cuban

Box office mojo says dofp just passed winter soldier! It’s at 712. That 8 is getting more believable, It’s still got some steam left. So it will be dofp, WS, and TASM 2. I wonder where gotg will end up. 7 sounds a bit high though. What do you figure it’ll take for it to be considered a success? Or a flop? To me, over 4 is a success. I just can’t conceive of CBMs making less than that these days, but it is possible.

        • HolyFranchiseBatman!

I think Guardians will hit around $400-$500 million, which I’d consider a success for it. I think the biggest problem is Turtles coming out in the States the following week. But internationally it has some breathing space.

        • Arturo Palencia

I have a feeling GOTG will play similar to the first Thor, so I’m saying 450-480 Worldwide. (because i means seriously here in America it will not cross 200! i say maybe 140-180 domestically and Overseas it might do somewhere between 280-300 more or less) On a GOOD DAY, i mean best case scenario it reaches 500 WHICH I DOUBT! seriously doubt! I mean The Amazing Spider-man 2 barely hit 200, and also depends how the reviews are. As for the lead actor Chris Pratt he’s not really that well known yet!, so i don’t think many will go just to see the actors for example Hugh Jackman is well known so many will see his movies just for the fact that he’s in them. (Although i do love Chris Pratt he’s brilliant in Parks and Rec) We shall see…… NO other superhero movie will dethrone DOFP this year! that is for sure! and that makes me HAPPY.

          • The Walking Cuban

Yeah xmen made a huge comeback, and now they’re really I’m the game. Probly none less than 7 from here on out.
As for gotg, 4 seems less likely for it than it did for Thor, but I love being wrong!
