Disney’s young Han Solo search reportedly down to three names

March 15, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Harrison Ford may be set to reprise the role of Indiana Jones for a fifth movie, but Disney will be bringing in another actor to portray Han Solo in Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star Wars Anthology movie based around the early years of the galactic smuggler.

Originally, it was revealed that over 2500 actors had tested for the role in the 2018 solo film, with a report in January then claiming the shortlist was down to around twelve actors, and now it seems the field has narrowed even further.

According to THR,  Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) and Taron Egerton (Eddie the Eagle) all tested in London this week, having impressed during previous meetings with the studio. It’s also said that other actors may have tested, but either way it sounds like we won’t have long to wait before Disney and Lucasfilm make a decision…

Who would you like to see as the young Han Solo? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
