In yesterday’s live fan event promoting the release of Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) on DVD and Blu-Ray, the film’s director Zack Snyder possibly confirmed Lex Luthor’s appearance in the sequel.
Sometime after host Kevin Smith had finished his one hour, 12 minute-long introduction to the hour and a quarter-long event, Snyder said the following when talking about how people interpret Superman:
“Lex loves calling him an alien…I like that.”
It might just be Snyder saying he likes Luthor’s xenophobic reaction to Superman. But it could also mean the character might be seen in Batman vs Superman.
With rumours that casting is underway for both Wonder Woman and Robin, the sequel could be a rather packed affair.
Man of Steel hits Blu-ray and DVD in the States on November 12th and in the UK on December 2nd, while Batman vs. Superman is set to arrive in cinemas on July 17th 2015.
